This is so my favorite song of the year -- or, considering it's a 2007 performance, the best song I've discovered this year. Every time I hear Big Chris singing these words in his living room croak: "Things keep on getting better / 'n' bigger 'n' cooler it seems. / But some days I ain't sure I can handle / Being The Man of My Dreams" I start to choke up inside. In those four unpretentious but sharp lines he summarizes every heart-rending moment of self-doubt and in my adult life.
