thats half right, in normal mode anyway... the motor speed AND the pitch adjust synchronously. thats where the "collective" comes in in "collective pitch" (CP). they collectively work together.
you're actually right, when you hit the 3D/"idle up" switch. with this heli anyway, i believe the motor goes to 100% constantly, and the blade pitch changes positive/negative for aerobatic, 3D, and inverted flight.

approx. 3 min on supplied NiMH battery. Remember:
You should never fly more than 6 minutes or 10 volts. You'll ruin the battery.
Ask anyone that flies T-Rex 450 SE V2s that pays a hundred bucks (and these are 11.1V, 2200mAh, 20C)
per battery. Or who has an electric T-Rex 600 that pays Two hundred and thirty bucks per battery.
Just because you CAN fly that long, does not mean you're supposed to.
