@rentatrent has your 128 got a transverse leaf spring in the back end? i assume this is what made mine handle so well. i dont know if it was standard or not? it was like an enormous sway bar! i'll keep an eye out for your 128 around hobart, what colour is it?
oh man i had some fun in one of these as a young fella. had uprated suspension i think from an rx7? you could stand on the side and jump up and down and it would only move an inch. real go cart. but could never close the boot and the drivers seat would suddenly fly backwards off its rails for no apparent reason leaving you in a terrribly awkward situation in traffic. hilarious. but on the right road it was astonishing how well it handled. Hobart to Strahan in 3hr:25min. pretty good for a 1.3. :)
Man, the first shot of the steering wheel sure took me back. In the 1970's my brother had one of these, blue. Then in the middle of the night he got a knock on his door and found several fire fighters standing there asking, "do you own a blue Fiat"? Apparently there was a wiring short and the damn thing burnt to a crisp!

Great car, but the wheels are not quite the right offset (they stick out too much) and you should be running a bigger exhaust (performance muffler).
