  • maybe the title of this video should be ANSWERS from the Pearl of Great Price because thats all the book gives...and a quick side note....you sound kinda like stephen hawking's computer voice when you talk...you should work on that

  • @eldbowers Yeah, the Pearl of Great Price or should we say Joseph even gives answers to who the egyptian godesses Isis and Maat are, on page 41. He says they are King Pharaoh and prince of Pharaoh. Then he identifies the egyptian god Osiris, as Abraham. I wonder how many Bible characters the pagan egyptians typically drew. Joseph could not even tell the difference between a male and a female. You would think with 34 wives, he would have figured it out.

  • @eldbowers It's is pretty impossible to argue with the truth without looking foolish, and since Mormonism is founded on a massive pile of lies, theres not much truth, to try to support it with, in the face of the truths being revealed, by those who have seen through the lies, that the Mormon church likes to label anti-Mormons. Truth is though, Mormonism is anti-truth, and must flee to the shadows to avoid the truth being found out.

  • its kinda like that book, agruing with idiots...theres really no use to argue with anti-mormons

  • can any anti-mormon come up with any point of major doctrine that we have that is wrong? Nope, they cant, all they can come up with is little minor details. I think yall are just mad that our doctrine makes more sense and that all other churhes didnt come up with it first... we have it perfect doctrine because its the same doctrine Jesus taught while he was on the earth...hence the name The Church of Jesus Christ...

  • please tell me when in the bible Jesus ever teaches against polygamy? he doesn't ever. thats why he allowed prophets such as King Solomon, David, and Abraham to have more then one...just to name a few...so if your are gonna condemn Joseph Smith for multiple wives make sure you condemn them too.

  • The LDS church would, if they were convinced they had archaeological evidence which actually exists for the Book of Mormon, be very forward to proclaim same publicly & profusely, especially as they are the only church that spends millions of dollars annually on PR to prop up their profile. Clearly, when a church is being promoted by man in this manner & not being built by the Lord of the true church this is the powerful propensity & perceptual structure.

  • I realize very well that Baptism for the dead is mentioned one and only one time in the Bible. The apostle Paul mentions it, he asks why are they baptized for the dead, excluding himself from the practice. If it was something that should be done he would have asked why are we, not they, and there would be much more than one passing verse asking a question, to teach about it, if it was something that God wanted done. Baptism doesn't save people, Jesus and Jesus alone saves people.

  • While I'm not calling you a liar or anything, I just need something better than that sketchy anecdotal evidence. Maybe you could start with some published works from the likes of Hugh Nibley, John Sorenson, Dan Peterson, John Gee or John Welch.

BTW, baptisms for the dead is in the Bible. 1 Corinthians 15:29 my friend.

  • My dad who is lds, took me to a supposed Mormon scholar speaking at a Stake center in Enoch Utah a few years ago. This guy was going to talk about hard evidence for Mormonism. I'm sorry I don't remember his name. But he told my dad and myself, that there was not any archaeology at that time that could verify the BOM, the evidence he presented that I remember was from pagan cults if I remember rightly Zoroastrians who did baptisms for the dead.
