  • It started fisrt kick, are amtique briggs better that way than newer ones maybe it was hot?

  • @clawdfrawg usually if they are in tune they will start on the first or second kick.

  • What would this power?

  • Briggs sold engines as universal power units to run anything that would normally have to be done by hand before electricty was run to rural farms, most common use was washing machines.

  • Is 1750 the max rpm's? if not what is it.

  • recommended unloaded running speed is 2000 rpm.

  • Same as a dirt bike.

  • is this how kick start dirt bikes and all that came in much later?

  • This must be worth some money. Its nice to see old engines like this still arround.

  • that is the coolest way of starting an engine I have ever seen

  • doggoneit!!! Wish they'd put those kick starters on lawn mowers!!!! :-D

  • @fangus503 ikr

  • Great video!

I have only seen photos of these old engine but have heard or seen one running!

The modern BS engines are everywhere, but were rare in Australia until the 1960's

  • SOUNDS JUST LIKE A 2010 BRIGGS AND STRATTON 5 HP HA

  • That sound is actually quite soothing lol.

  • @firmclock Honda wasn't even around way back then.
