One of the best Orthophonic records in my collection, the great Leo reisman. Putting On The Ritz. 1930. Listen for Bubber Miley playing the trumpet in this one. At the time he recorded this he had left the Duke Ellington band. Poor Duke, what a loss lol :)
Enjoy!
Played on my 1927 victor orthophonic 8-12

  • Don't Forget Adrian Rollini who is also on this and featured in a duet with Miley! Check out "What Is This Thing Called Love" . Another one with Miley ANd Rollini featured together. The Credenza is a great machine, I have one too,It's too bad this video doesn't capture the great sound of this wonderful machine.

Hi, than,s, this isn't a credenza, this is the 8-12. Alot of people refer to this model as the baby credenza.

  • This is my favorite version of this song. I love Bubber Miley. I'm jealous you have this 78. He also does a great version of St. Louis Blues. What a shame he had such a short life. Thanks for posting this.

  • @kirtley2010

Hi no I don't have a extra to sell, this is a very hard one to find, it took me 20 years to find this one.

  • Great version. Ebay can be good for some lucky finds every now and then. Thanks for sharing, and happy record hunting.
