When Rory was in Taste he played Belfast all the time during the troubles. Few people did. Ther was one modern music shop crymbals and I went in and he was there. I was just starting bass then - 40 years ago? He talked to me. I mean he just said howya doin and we talked and I talked about his bass player then and Rory said how solid he was. What an ordinary nice guy. I had tickets for the gig that night and as always he was  - well brilliant.

He sold over 40 million records, his concerts were always sold out. I saw him perform in Holland way back and it was just magical. Rory didnot want to be famous and those who knew him know that. He said in an interview he would rather be Ledbelly than Boy George, says enough in my opinion....

Who the hell would want to be Boy George ? ha,ha, I hear you though, Rory was a very humble man , great musician.The guy I promote on my channel got to meet him and confirms all said about him . RIP Rory.

Ha, you are right, although I always thought BG was kind of funny for being what he was and not afraid to show it, only a little overdone....and I realy disliked his music.....
