A video following on from 'Egypt and Sumer'. Explores the connections between Egypt, Punt and Phoenicia. The 'Dynastic Race Theory' was first arrived at by Flinders Petrie, the Father of Egyptology. It fell from fashion after the 1940s, but has been re-examined and found to have merit by more recent Egyptologists such as David Rohl (covered in his book 'Legend: The Genesis of Civilization'.)
This vid also some stuff about Egyptian mythology, Solomon's Temple and Phoenicians in the Bible.

  • i am a sri lankan. before our island was inhabited by indo aryan speakers as the legends say, one of the tribes occupied it was naga people (cobra people) a sea fairing tribe. some times this punt people may have a trading post in our country too. i have heard that our cinnamon is found in ancient Egyptian tombs.

  • @prasasea That is interesting. An Ancient Egyptian story has a sailor getting lost and finding an Island called Punt, which was ruled by a great snake.

  • Modern Egyptians and all africans and black people have that tropical body plan. Did the Mediteranean and Europeans have a Tropical body plan too? Which is why the Ancient Egyptians clustered with other Africans including Sub Saharan Africans. You haven't supported the story told in your video about the Falcon Tribe at all. Everything about Ancient Egypt is Egyptian from their language, culture, place or origin, its was a local origin and not foriegn.

  • @madkeyra Egyptian language was not Cushistic, unlike the tongue of the Nubians. If Egypt was primarily populated by people coming up from the south this doesn't make much sense.

  • Yea, Does Meditteraneans and Eurpeans have a Tropical body plan? The Ancient Egyptians were proven to have Tropical body plans like other Africans. The limb porportions are more reliable than cranial analysis. The language, culture, etc was all Egyptians. Theres no evidence that outsides came into Egypt and formed the first Dynasty like your video proclaims.

  • @madkeyra Southrn Egypt is in the tropics, and the climate of the whole country was tropical until late Predynastic. From what I gather, however, modern Egyptians have the same body proportions as the ancients did.

  • @rahotep101 i cannot jump into conclusions that ancient egyptians have come from our country, but it i highly possible that originally they were an asiatic tribe.there looks are very close to south asians than to africans. the somalis may also have belong to this tribe but later on must have mixed with africans.modern egyptians are a mixture of original tribe, north africans, arabs, greeks sub saharan africans etc. thats why over the course of time there looks have changed so much.

  • @rahotep101 Egyptian language is certainly not Semitic.

The only language besides basque which has it's own branch of a 'language family'. It's absurd. You can't link Ancient Egyptian to any other Semitic language, only state that in a brrrroooooooooad general sense it's related (as if Semitic is only found outside of Africa anyway).

  • @rahotep101 And you believing they probably came from europe or the middle east really doesnt make sense!
