  • @superstud666 To me he makes good sense in that the US has to tread carefully, have no favourites in the world including Israel and all that et c. But he also says in his book that the US has to make sure no increase of military power should happen in the different regions of the world. This I find rather hard to swallow and I'm insulted by it because despite them being a global empire I don't think the US should have any say in this matter & others like the individual economies.

  • China will dominate the future. This Friedman guy says they are bund by the Himalyas and thus can't expand. He doesn't seem to realize China can just go straight through Myanmar instead, as well as keeping Pakistan as a close ally. USA has benefited by having borders on both the Atlantic and Pacific, in the future China will have the same advantage by bordering the Pacific and the Indian Oceans.

  • @DocBadwrench i agree

  • I love this guy!

  • I heard him speak in Kansas City. I also got his business card. He is awesome. He seems tired of talking about this though.

  • Notwithstanding the inevitable torrent of crap from more forthcoming YouTube comments, George Friedman (and StratFor) have very interesting arguments that are, at the very least, worthy of thoughtful consideration.

  • I'm definitely going to buy this book I've already bought The Next 100 Years.
