If you need to use a wire or other prop to hold your puppet in a pose, you need to remove it later. Watch this clip shows how you can do it while filming.

  • Hi , you can do the same thing with all versions of Stop Motion Pro. Open the thumbnail frame view by pressing the "editor" button on the interface. You have been able to do this in all versions of Stop Motion Pro since v2.

  • If you're really a purist in the field of stop motion animation, you could perform the classic Harryhausen trick if your trying to visibly remove wires or rods holding up your puppet. Just paint over the rod with real paint! This was done in "Earth vs. the Flying Saucers" in 1956. Ray painted over the rods holding up the alien crafts, frame by frame, eliminating them from view.
