Religion,

Things done in God's name by man, may not always be thing's that God wants, We are human and humans can make mistakes , There again What will be will be and what is done cannot be undone. Jesus Christ told us to Love each other and came to for fill Prophecy, but killing is not what he thought,

They have power. Now they just look to maintain it. The more followers they have in their flock. The more donations get put into the offering after mass. The church is a money machine.

All you need to do is look at the big shiny buildings to know Christianity is about money and power. The spanish conquests totally ruined, or delayed, the truths Pre-columbian meso-american cultures had for humankind. You don't really need proof to convince everyone that the same group those missionaries annoy me at my doorstep are from want power.

Not to repeat myself but this is only a speculative thery. I could be totaly wrong. Maybe it was just about the gold. But why then destroy their traditions and replace them with Catholic ones.

Also please don't get the wrong idea. I am born a Catholic and my whole family is Catholic. So please don't think I am against the religion in any way.

Human sacrafice is surely against the teachings of Jesus. But for the Aztecs I think they all understood the old ways. While in Europe it was only taught to a select few. As we discovered America these select few would have it in their best interest not to let these ancient mysteries get out of there. So why not kill them all. And those that survive? Teach them christianity. The Catholic religion is very powerful and people enjoy it. Would you like to swich back to human sacrafice

I am sure you are on the right path but why destroy the Aztec's belief's? Unless the sacrifice of human beings, was totally against what Jesus Christ taught, it must have been hard to change there mind set, unless they wanted a saviour from the Aztec way of life? The Catholic religion is very widespread in Mexico, Peru, and Argentina. They are very religious people and don't seem to want to change back to the old ways?

Half a world away from egypt these so called primitive people had a pretty good handle on the ancient mysteries. I think the Spanish conquests had more to do with establishing catholisism, thus shrouding the mysteries than anything else. Sure the hunt for gold was lucritive also. But these pyramids were dangerous to Rome. Rome in those days as is now meaning the Roman Catholic religion. They had to be silenced.

Its just a theory. I have no proof yet.
