Senator Ted Kennedy with NH Senator John Durkin at a press conference at the Salem High School Television studio in Salem New Hampshire. Kennedy was in the state as a candidate in the 1980 NH Primary. His presentation mainly consisted of his energy proposal that he penned with Senator Durkin. At the time, he was trying to coax President Carter out of the White House to discuss the issues with the people of NH. Other topics incude the Iranian hostage situation, the draft, and the Olympic boycott.

  • The Word Rationing has no Business in Energy Policy. Its Bad Policy & Bad Politics.

  • What a tyrant he would have been! The government rationing gasoline based on whatever nonsensical formulas they came up with. That would have really helped our economy.

  • If this was any indication of his abilities as a speaker, I can understand why he lost, because his heart wasn't in it.
