Every time I see a Quake or UT video come up, a little part of me dies inside thinking of how utterly pathetic the state of FPS is.
-
EDIT: *camp* in a corner.

This is a beautiful video. If you like FPS games (Quake III in particular, of course) on PCs, watch this!
-
songs? D:

7:25 omg :D

@NOUFGT pathetic arguments, auto aim is not in multiplayer and if you say that just for being console there is clumsy aiming you should take a look at some of the halo montages.

@wazups2x "Sorry bud, it's a FACT that a m+k have more fast, precise movements than a controller."
Well no shit? That's exactly what I just said... But you're wrong that you have more "freedom of movement." You can, theoretically, do anything on a thumbstick that you can do with a mouse. It's just much much harder and it'll never happen do to human limitations.
But my main point is that you CAN'T compare console vs PC players' skill. They're two totally different skillsets.

@ASwiftHippie Sorry bud, it's a FACT that a m+k have more fast, precise movements than a controller. You have much more freedom of movement so it takes much more to master a mouse. You're handicapped with a controller and you can never bypass a certain level of accuracy.
I played exclusively on console since Sega Dreamcast up until COD4. I am very good with controllers, I'm not just some PC gamer that's never used one. It's just a fact that a mouse and keyboard is much better for FPS games.
-
@wazups2x No, you're clueless. A mouse is far easier to aim with. Thumbsticks have a much bigger learning curve. I have been playing on PC for about 2 months, and my aim is already better on PC then it was from 10+ years of playing on console... Sure, there are plenty of players that have better aim on PC then me, but I am closing the gap much faster than I would on thumbsticks.
And you can't compare the skill of PC and Console players. They're totally different and skill is relative
-
@ASwiftHippie Haha, you really are clueless. A mouse is easier to hit people because you have more freedom. However, to perfect your skills with a mouse requires a much higher skill level than a controller. You're limited with a controller and will never be able to reach the skill level of a mouse and keyboard.

Quake, the game where skilled players dominate and CoD and Halo kiddies cry in a corner.

Halo is played on a console with a controller. That means clumsy aiming and movement, the game compensates for this with magnet aiming. ie. auto aim.
