"....Dr. Richard Kimble, an innocent victim of blind Justice, falsely convicted for the murder of his wife, reprieved by fate when a train wreck freed him en-route to the Death House.
Freed him...to hide in lonely desperation, to change his identity, to toil at many jobs.
Freed him to search for a one armed man he saw leave the scene of the crime.
Freed him...to RUN before the relentless pursuit of the Police Lieutenant obsessed with his capture."

Pete Rugolo had a detective theme album on Mercury with Richard Diamond theme and Intermission Riff. Great ping pong stereo album, for those that remember those first stereo albums.

R.I.P. Mr. Rugolo.

Wow.. Reminds me so much of my mom and grandfather, watching with them everyday in the early '90s. It also reminds of what a gem David Janssen was, and how much we lost when he passed away.
This was THE perfect theme song for "The Fugitive". The two fit like a hand and a glove.

"The Fugitive" soundtrack is available on C.D. from Silva America.
Love the old Mercury LP's. The sound quality of the stereo pressings top anything on compact disc in my opinion.
I have many of the Rugolo / Mercury recordings. I'm not aware of the one you mentioned. Sounds great.
