The Package Master accepts packages of variable sizes, but generally is large enough to accept prescriptions and other small packages 3.5-4.5" x 3.5-4.5" x 10.5"

The mailman does not need a key. When the door opens for mail/package delivery you can see there is a tray where the mailman picks up outgoing mail. Of course this is not secure so we always recommend taking sensitive mail i.e. checks to a blue USPS box. Incidentally, no locking mailbox can be "USPS Approved" if it requires key access for outgoing mail. In other words, all locking mailboxes out there pretty much work the same way. Hope this info helps!
