Janyck's rescue on "Untamed and Uncut"

The vaulting horse Janyck who was rescued from the frozen lake in NJ got a spot in another Animal Planet show, the new series "Untamed and Uncut".

Janyck is an 18.2h American Warmblood that has one of the most unique jobs a horse could have, equestrian vaulting. It's a USEF and FEI recognized competitive discipline and is best described as gymnastics on a moving horse. Janyck escaped out of his stall one morning a few years ago, wandered onto a frozen pond, and broke through the ice. It took hours to rescue him and he has made a full recovery. He gained national news coverage and after the ordeal was seen on Animal Panet in "Pet Stories". He makes a new debut in "Untamed and Uncut" with some new footage shot just last year to wrap up the story. What's even cooler is I was given the opportunity to give him a full body clipping a week before the filming so he looked perfect, since it was early in the year and he still had his shaggy winter coat. How cool is grooming a horse to be on TV!

@GFVagent007 What a frightening accident. Thank God for the emergency services and public committed to Janyck's rescue. Poor boy, really feel for his Mum at this time too. Fabulous to see him happy, healthy, cheery and doing what he likes best again. What a great vet you have too. So pleased you had a good outcome for this handsome, lovely boy.
