I agree. Lets leave this one :P

Hmmm . . . you definitely brought up some good points (I would have to disagree with some . . .) but good nonetheless. The actress used her "speech pattern" to manifest another aspect of her character, which is the idea that Lisa is in fact bipolar. I believe the term is "rapid cycling"-where you experience highs and lows very quickly. She'll start to build intensity and then, quite suddenly, she backs down (3:48-3:51). You have to remember that we wanted a more dynamic character.

Her speech patterns just seem to be a bit all over the place which distracted me as an audience member while watching the film. It also seems like she doesn't really know her lines. I don't mean to put down your work its just an honest opinion I don't think the actress carried the part very well. It is a complicated character mind you. So good on her for attempting. Sound was edited well and there were some cool camera angles.

Shes so piercing, listen to the language "Tell me you dont take that BLADE and DRAG IT ACROSS YOUR SKIN..." etc. this whole part, Lisa gets off on this visual language knowing that it gets to daisy. It just didn't have much intensity here. I liked the "Everybody knows, EVERY BODY KNOWS " part but she dropped the energy on "that he fucks you". Thoughts should be carried the end especially for Lisa. She's sharp & to the point. She feels no remorse because it doesn't exist for her.

This is true, she is a sociopath, it just seemed to me like the actress is playing crazy, not really knowing why she's laughing. It's all a bit light which takes it to a less deeper place, in my opinion. I like the idea that you're going for it just seemed a bit too forced against the grain. If that makes sense. Lisa enjoys belittling daisy & laughs at her attempt at a normal life but she gets inside her head with the utmost power, she doesn't scream it into her head.

It's cruel and sadistic, and I think "Lisa" definitely has those two character traits. If you watch the scene in the movie, Angie will smile every once in a while as she verbally abuses Daisy. Jolie was more subtle in her expressions; whereas, the actress and I wanted to push the idea that Lisa enjoyed belittling others. I'm not saying our way was better: it's just a different interpretation of the scene and characters.

In some ways, it's also her way of antagonizing Daisy (I don't know if it bothers you, but when I'm feeling emotionally vulnerable, it pisses me off when people start laughing at me, especially when they know what kind of emotional state I'm in).

After talking with the actress, we both felt that Lisa derived a certain amount of enjoyment from toying with Daisy (she's a sociopath after all) and the laughter seemed a natural reaction for Lisa. She's amused by Daisy's pathetic attempts at portraying normalcy.

Both actress' did better this time. Pauses were more explorative. But I don't understand why Lisa keeps laughing. The girl who played Daisy was a lot better too the part where she was trying to pull away from Lisa worked well, there was a lot more fight.
Listen, Ms. Ibbetson, I think at this point we should just agree to disagree. Cheers!
