Reaper, the auditions and Hollywood rounds were done before his birthday in November. He turned 24 in November 2002. But when they showed his original audition in January 2003, he was already 24, even though it was recorded when he was 23. They didn't show this part of Clay's Hollywood audition in the original series, only during American Idol Rewind later after the season was over with. LOVE how he can just start in the middle of the song with no prep. That was awesome!

wow, i have to say im really2 impressed with his voice.. all u guys can say how much dorkie or nerdy he looks but hell, he can really2 sing.. he makes singing looks easy..wow
