@TaurusMoonlight I thought that back in the old days, ladies are not allowed to serve in the army and if anyone found guilty of this crime, the individual will be prosecuted. This is why I wanted to know if the general killed Mulan or they did reward her. It's hard to believe that no one knew or find out she is a lady while in the war for more than 10 years. Is she this good that she has never been wounded thru the whole 10 yrs. of war? Very interesting.

The true story is that Mulan went back home after twelve or more years on the battle field. The Emperor offer her a position to stay in the court but she still went back home. She lived till the age of 90.

The background of Hua Mu Lan is the North-South Court (Nan Bei Chao) period of China. In the North Court side.

The Northern Nomads were gaining ground and extending South, the Han people were in retreat.
