wtf, why the fuck would you want to do anything productive with widgets? This reminds me when Dashboard came out on OS X and people kept making all these useless widgets.

This isn't a product with developers that worry about market share. If you don't like it, sod off and use something else. Maybe if you ask nicely, the developers will give you a refund ;)
Sorry, but that's just rubbish: I've got more choice on the KDE 4.2/4.3 desktop then I ever did with KDE 3.

For all those who were unimpressed with KDE 4, you need to think of it as a new Window manager completely. KDE 3.5.11 is perfect in every way. I think the name should be changed from KDE 4 to Plasma 1. The entire code-base is new so a name change could have stopped a lot of confusion here. Beautiful thing Open Source, KDE 3.5.11 lives on and a lot of distributions support it completely. Plasma is brand new, but in it's infancy. I could see this taking off if only they worked on stability...

Plasma is still choppy as hell. It really irritates me and I'm afraid of using it. And don't even get me started on the scrolling...
to conclude: if it aint broke, dont fix it.
your excuse: wait for more fixes that will make everything better.
well, guess what stupid! you are loosing your userbase. this userbase liked what you were, and now, this is what we get for being loyal. no choice. you are forcing on other your view, your opinion.
this is a vista wannabe. it sucks. it blows chunks big-time.

4.2 is far better, and works very well. By the way M$ is is famous for copying ideas from others OSes and s/w, kde4 is just one of them

kde 4 sucks. it makes my think of 16yr olds trying to impress each other.
i am switching to gnome because you removed apps, functionality and stability. i dont want your "view" on what you think my opinion should be.
kde4 should follow industry trends to be successful and get support, but no company (and surly not mine) can build it infrastructure on this rubbish. our engineers will be fixing and forever upgrading with no time left for the important stuff.
why was kde3.5 so successful?

It will take time, you must post bugs and patches. So that it can improve faster.
