On the 6th September 2007 The Port William Inshore Rescue Service are called out to rescue a wee dog that had fallen of a cliff.This clip shows the volunteer crew in action at the Isle of Whithorn.

  • i was coxswain on that shout. wee dog fell 50ft from cliffs. broke shoulder but is on the mend. PS. PortWilliam lifeboat is an independant run boat.Thanks for the posting on youtube.

  • Good video, may I say these guys do a fantastic job. I have seen them scramble a fair few times and they perform their duty with the upmost care and speed.

  • Chris obviously you dont know anything about lifeboats. These lads do a 100% vital volunteer role in the community, more than you'll ever do.
