This is a gem. Thank you so much for posting this, its so nice to hear music played and sung so honestly, not like the rubbish being jammed down our throats these days. Marty Robbins was the best of the best.

Not sure who the guy is to the right of Marty but the one on the left is Ken Curtis who use to play Festus on Gunsmoke. He was on the Sons of the Pioneers also and you can hear him sing this song if you do a search of Festus sings. Sure miss that ol scutter.

The man wrote El Paso from the front seat of his family station wagon as they traveled West Texas. A true "Cowboy" singer, not many left. Check out "the Sons of San Joaquin".

Good to hear real American music, so much garbage is around these days. Marty did a great job with this country-western gem.

This song poped into my head the other day it must have been 40 or more years since i last heard it, great song, i thought i would find it here and was glad to hear it again after so long. Thanks for posting.
