no people like gasoline because it works better it has nothing to do with efficiency or corruption. airplanes are more flexible. trains are not nearly as fast . who cares about efficiency if it gets you there, there is never going to be a true energy shortage.

@bizarrocker That made very literally no sense. Like, zero. All I got was some jargon. As far as the possibility aspect - well, hey, if we spent as much money on this as we do on aeronautic travel, this could happen within... weeks.

@fayereaganlover Well lowspeed is better I think because there is a low chance of any accidents and crash.

@Leofox94 holy shit are u dumb? enjoy your fucking lowspeedtrains in america.

bull Scheiße... I want to see that tunnel from new york to beijing.... who will make it?? is it feasible ? underwater? Penis? die and let live!!!

@miknos2 I dont think it takes a few years to determine if something is safe, if you die or get hurt after its used a few times then fix it.
why is it so necessary to use high speed technology? Why are people so hasty?

I don't get the analogy.
But let's say it's a productivity manner. If the train goes faster, it means less wagons are needed to carry people.
Imagine you can travel to a distant country for the same price (none). Would you rather spend few hours, or days?
For a slower enjoy-the-ride type would be a cruise.

@miknos2 We already have the technology for this stuff so why is it being studied for so long? Like a curving escelator that has to be researched for a few more years. Why would you study an escelator for a few years?
