Riley... These films... All of them... that you list... Are by Asylum Studios. Asylum, as in the Mockbuster American film studio. As in, they find out what movies are being made by whom, research them, and make shitty parodies. They do tons of movies, and try to release them on the same day or around the time of the movie they're making fun of.

Okay, I Am Legend was a book made in 1954, then a movie called The Last Man On Earth ten years later, then came the Omega Man in 1971, and finally I Am Legend in 2007. I Am Legend had more to do with the book than the movie.
