in a sense yes but at the same time you can unvoid the warranty so to speak...if you choose to jailbreak you can always unjailbreak by doing a restore with itunes to your ipod touch or iphone...ive done this and taken my iphone (which was jailbroken) to apple 3 different times and nobody has even asked if it was jalbroken...its undetectable after you restore to the apple firmware

hey camo, think you can jailbreak an ipod touch with the 2.0 update? Then I'll be able to get free apps! Will the apps I bought for 'free' from the itunes store disappear? And what is SSH?

2.0 is jailbreakable...look up pwnage tool 2.0 and there will be vids on it...i might post one...i might not...not sure...ssh is a wireless connection to the files on your phone or itouch...its useful for things like changing permissions and putting custom themes and sounds on...i use it mostly for customize for all the crap i make in photoshop

So i cant upgrade my phone to 2.0 and have the installer app without it breaking please reply i dont want to break my phone

you cant press the upgrade button...you can press the restore button...so i recomend you restore to 1.1.4 then once your done with that upgrade to 2.0
