But why does your definition of God have to apply to everyone else's practice? U.Us aren't going soley by the Bible. You have to understand- we're not a Christian denomination and most of us are not Christians.
We use the bible for self-growth, but most of us do not see it as divine. We can't, therefore, be judged soley against a bible definition of church.

The UU view of the church is not the same as God's definition of the church.
God says the church is the body of Christ, of which He is the head.
Eph 1:22-23 says, And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
The body of Christ is made up of all believers in Jesus Christ from the day of Pentecost (Acts ch 2) until Christs return.
