The Wave (2008) - Teaser 1

The first teaser trailer for The Wave, the second upcoming production from Compulsive Film.

Loosely based on the Todd Strasser novel, the film takes the experiment Strasser described in a California high school and puts it in a failing British private boys' school.

The film stars Benedict Stafford, Mark Case and Seb Gogerly, and is slated for release in July 2008 (subject to change).

To clarify - this was an amateur project using amateur actors that has now been put on indefinite hold partly because of issues arising from the release of the German film of the book. Hope that clears things up.

The sound is going to need some work. It was like the woman was too far from the mic or there was something muffling her voice. I agree that the passing of the male actor could use some work - it does come off as rushed.

The film was a complete re-imagining of the project, rather than a re-telling of the book. Hence John rather than Ben, a female headteacher, and a private boys' school in Britain rather than a California high school...

so this like going to be the 3. movie...? well it's better than the german one that just came out... but no where near the version from the early 80's.
