One of the best bands to come out of Britain in the past few decades. The Blaggers(aka Blaggers ITA) mixed classic Punk like The Clash(both in sound and sociopolitical lyrics), hip-hop, Oi, reggae, etc. This is a perfect example of how amazing they were, taken from their 1993 album, "United Colours of Blaggers ITA," with classic opening sample from Public Enemy and amazing guest spot/spoken word piece by Mensi of The Angelic Upstarts. Sadly, singer Matty Blagg(RIP) died of an overdose in February of 2000, although the rest of the band have reformed and continue to perform, particularly at benefits for the Independent Working Class Association and at benefits for various Antifa groups.
Big thanks for this. Got the album on vinyl and thought of em tonight as one of my ex-mates has turned into a facist. It's not where it begins, it's where it ends. Thanks again :)
