This was recorded by me at Oakboro Music Hall in Oakboro, NC on July 23, 2005. Although nearly seventy, Doug Dillard still plays at lightning speed, and Rodney remains youthful in his singing and playing as well.

  • @insany281 You are very lucky to have an uncle that has contributed to this world as much as he has. A true legend in bluegrass music.

  • They all keyed up!

  • My uncle is doug dillard right there on the right =)

  • wow These the same guys from the Andy Griffith Show? Love the song! Thanks for the post!

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! Im sittin' here beating on my desk and stomping with everyone looking at me like i've gone insane lol

  • Love these guys.

  • Awesome.

  • I think this was written by Mitch Jayne, ( the bass player)

  • @dougfrombaltimore Absolutely right, Doug. They just don't make good shows like that anymore. The Dillards, Ernest T. Bass, Gomer & Guber, etc. so many good characters on that show. It was good clean clever entertainment. I could watch these old reruns all the time even though I know most of them by heart. RN

  • There was no fiddle player on the Andy Griffith Show.
