  • He was a burning flame on the ice! There is no one else like him!He will always be my favourite skater of all times!

  • Alexei Yagudin is the best figure skater ever. He has the complete package. This wasn't his best skate due to an injury, but who gives a darn anyway!

  • he is amazing truthfully :)

  • we must have a lot in common mty mom walked out when i was 11 and i haven't talked to her since

  • he doesn't need to act the gladiator, he IS a gladiator, look at the way he fights through this, the way he gets his strength from the audience's cheering again and again...no other skater can ever be like him....one bad jump, but no he clunches his fists and shows us an excellent one, and the footwork, my god will I ever stop watching his programs???

  • @portishphonic I agree 100 %, I would rather watch Yagudin make tons of mistakes than another skater's dull but flawless program.

  • He is the best skater ever!!!I really miss him!

  • Okay, I usually don't knock the commentators. But he was WRONG. This Gladiator program was about a warrior - oddly enough, I think the small mistakes and the slight show of fatigue made the "fighting" aspects of his choreography even more real. Yagudin was one of the few skaters (perhaps the only one) who could pull that off.

The best ever. He could show up at Worlds at age 40, and I'd still watch him.

  • My dream: to be able to separate the music from the commentary and discard the commentary!

Even though Alexei was still recovering from his injury and couldn't do all his elements perfectly this performance was a thrilling spectacle.

  • @Porporinablu Totally agree about Lysacek, I'm Plushenko's fan ;)

  • @MrEvan75 oh c'mon, with that name you can't even TALK about male figure skating... Lysacek medal, I'm ashamed of that, and I'm italian!
