As unbelievable as it is, Marty was having chest pains as he performed with the Mandrell sisters in this video. Two days later he went into the hospital with his second diagnosed heart attack.
As a young man i see marty perform not long after this and i stil have the memories now still listen to his voice most days, great singer an story teller through songs.long live his memory.
We saw Marty in La Crosse in 1980 and in Tomah, WI in 1981. Still our fave.

I found no second singer's voice is comparable to Marty's in a romantic fashion, not even Elvis's.
