I agree with gearyu... no offense, but if you really do surf in Hawaii, then you'd NEVER consider waikiki as the west side, and you'd probably get your ass whooped by some real locals if you ever said that. How can you be reminiscing about "the days" when you obviously haven't been here that long?

Hawaii Kai is the best location, because on the west side you have Waikiki and on the Eastern side you have CoCo Head Marina....the days of taking the little boat to Mc D's after a long surf day!!!
