A team led by Georgia Tech School of Physics Assistant Professor Daniel Goldman has conducted physics and robotics experiments and created computer simulations to better understand how objects move through complex environments, like the debris after a natural disaster. Using a robot they built that can penetrate and "swim" through granular material, they show that by varying the shape of the robot's head or by tilting it up and down, they can control the robot's vertical movement. • I want to see a robotic trouser-snake

  • That was my Physics II prof.

  • @Dylans503 I'm just saying a more curved shape would probably be better since the actual sand lizard has a more cone-like head than a flat wedge.

  • @plasticpals1 ....no......no...then thered be no surface area to generate lift or drag. if it was in a cylinder...or going straight down then it would work. but no your fucking retarded.

  • omg new idea. Sandfish robot IEDS!!! yay

  • @Nwambe Can you explain

  • IRAQ IS DOOOOOOOOOMED!

  • why are they making the scary robots from the movies
