In my opinion, Paul is the greatest living rock singer. I am also a great fan of Freddie, who was a monumental composing & singing talent. He also was probably the greatest showman in rock history.
You have to give both singers credit & remember that Paul is doing his own version of these classic songs.

@liberalguy513 Its more likely that he contracted AIDS through the sharing of needles, only 8% of AIDS sufferers contract AIDS from oral sex (Both males and females combined)

It's a shame Freddie sucked dick and got the Aids.

MY GOD!!!!! HOW MUCH PEOPLE IS THERE???? there´s like 120.000 people!!!

yes i agree, paul rodgers' voice is not that good as george michaels voice, that would have been a better replace.

He is intrepreting the song not a simple cover....
The problem here apart the obvius differences on performance and the "voice" (wich I would expect rather than be shoked of) is, as a fan u cant sing along! He is phrasing his way. Michael did something so rare, had a similar voice and power and sung with the heart. Now take ur Cosmos Rocks cd, hit play, put repeat on u'll find plenty of wonderful moments from Queen AND from Paul ^^ (btw I love Taylor voice in these songs & May's on slow ones) GG

@darliegoddess Thanks. Some people are just not fair with Paul who gives the best of himself

This is by far the best joining of two rock n roll super powers. No one is Freddy, its time to move on. This is refreshing.

@Drumsinstopmotion I don't think that happened....correct me if I'm wrong.

From Roger Taylor himself:
"Question: The Cosmos Rocks album and the Paul Rodgers tours…how do you look back on that period of the band?"
Roger: "The Cosmos Rocks album was not at all bad and I thoroughly enjoyed the tours we did with Paul he is one of the finest singers alive. I regret that some people expected him to be Freddie, how crass."
NOW who's the fucking dumbass? Or would you rather argue Paul's merits with Queen's drummer, singer and songwriter?

Tecnically Paul Rodgers has a blues rock type of singing, Mercury was more rock/pop singer with more extension and quality in his sound.
