Imelda May is brilliant I love this but I really find it, " bad taste after her death" to even compare or whatever these two artists. Saw Imelda on Jools Holand live that night and was so happy to have seen her.

Well..there is no explaining taste...but as an example..the song in this video was being hummed on the streets of Dublin for weeks and weeks..

It obviously hit a note..

You do not have to be technically better you just have to nail it with a song that stays on your lips..Imelda has done that..just like Wanda Jackson.and so on.

Imelda has that combo: the look..great band.... catchy tunes and that "secret" ingredient the other dont..cant explain it beyond that..

@zeroceiling Don't get me wrong - her band is good and she has a great voice. Just there is a lot of unrecognised groups that are better but don't have the same exposure. Namely, Hillbilly Moon Explosion and the Coffinshakers. I was just wondering how she managed to get such great publicity while these other bands struggle for exposure.

listen cretins, if she was obese and ugly you would not look at this video. that's the difference between the old days and now. back in the old days it didn't matter what you looked like e.g. bill haley, fats domino, big bopper - all with talent, attitude and cool. Now all you have to have is a pretty face and not be disabled. And yes this kind of music was around before Amy Whino-house cretins.
