This flick is a typical '60s teen exploito, but it has some good location shots of Chicago and an exceptional cast, including Richard Dreyfuss, Patty "The Bad Seed" McCormack, and Norman "Mr. Roper" Fell as you'll see here. [Cast also includes Isabel "Louise Jefferson" Sanford and Dick "2nd Darren" Sargent!] The first band at the nightclub is the Gordian Knot, performing "Ophelia's Dream." The second band is uncredited; I have no idea if they were a real group or just actors.
McCormack went by Patty at the time but has been going by Patricia for several years now.

Wow, Richard Dreyfuss pre-stardom!
Also, the teen girl dancing at the club is played by Patricia McCormack of "The Bad Seed" fame. She was Oscar-nominated for her performance as an 8-year-old murderer in "Seed," which came out when she was 11. "The Young Runaways" was released in 1968, when 23.
That's Norman Fell, who later played Stanley Roper on "Three's Company," as her father. It's funny, he reunited wtih McCormack in the 1979-80 spinoff "The Ropers," in which they played neighbors.

I wished someone would post this whole movie! I remember this when I was 12. I loved the guy who played Loch. Little did I know he'd be a d**k!

I agree with the girl's mother! What a horrible era.

The band in plaid is THE GORDIAN KNOT who released only 1 album: TONES. There's a contemporary band by that name but I'm obviously referring to the one from the 60's. Lead singer Jim Weatherly wrote Gladys Knight's MIDNIGHT TRAIN TO GEORGIA. The band toured with the USO to Vietnam alongside Nancy Sinatra. For those interested in more information the best way to find them is to google Mesmirization Gordian Knot which will take you to the mesmirization blogspot on the band.
