Part 1 of 2. Fr. Richard Simon states this is going to be a strange sermon in his 05-25-08 Roman Catholic Homily for Corpus Christi Sunday on May 25 2008 because if Calvin and Luther and Mohammed were all correct in their belief about predestination, then God has created a group of people to suffer infinitely and eternally - a cruel and sadistic God who makes Hitler look like a Boy Scout. Part 1 of 2.

  • A homily & teaching in the classic tradition of an Archbishop Fulton Sheen: free will, freedom, & the essence of love & sacrifice vis a vis Jesus, the visible image of the Invisible God.

  • Fr. Richard Simon states up front that this will be a strange sermon - because if Calvin and Luther and Mohammed were all correct in their belief about predestination, then God has created a group of people to suffer infinitely and eternally - a cruel and sadistic God who makes Hitler look like a Boy Scout. He says that in the Book of Joshua, it seems God not only permits evil, but He is it's perpetrator. I like the question: "Can God make a rock so big that He Himself can not move it?"
