This is one of the most pure theater organs I've ever listened to. Played well!
The video I listened to just before this was the same song on an Artisan digital theater organ. Let me just say, I'm pretty sure that technology has barely scratched the surface at equaling what a real theater, classical, OR electromechanical, vacuum tube, transistorized, OR (LSI) ' Large Scale Integrated' analog circuit organ can do. It's the difference between Thunderbird and fine wine.
That said, is Hauptwerk yet?

@DrData2010 At the Canton Palace you live near!

This is the first time I've heard of a Kilgen. It is a very nice sounding instrument; sounds much different from a Wurlitzer or Morton. It also fits the acoustics of this room very well. Wonderful playing, by such a young and talented guy. Thanks for posting, and please put up more.

Very nice performance. I live near Canton, Ohio with a Palace Theatre. Where is this instrument?

I love the foot work he begins around 2:50. I couldn't believe it about 25 years ago when the churches started throwing out their organs and grand pianos! Midi'd keyboards can be nice but they don't compare to a pianist and organist playing together on fine instruments.

Nice work Donnie. That organ has a personality. Sounds great.

Beautifully played....

Beautiful, Donnie.
Thanks for your inspiration and talent.

Donnie is even more impressive here when you realize the new platform built for this console isn't big enough for tall organists. (Note how the bench is pulled so far back it's precariously hanging over the edge of the platform!)
This Kilgen has a lovely sound. There aren't many of these posted on Utube. Too many theatre organists today try to do all the tricks they can to make the organ perform everything just to see what it can do. To me, this arrangement and registration was simple and very tasteful. I enjoyed it very much.

Oh this is really good! - So many people "knock" the talent of this fine young theatre organist - can't understand why they choose to do that - he's superb and this piece of playing goes to prove how good he is - Thanks for posting.
