just a foot note to his openings for black in blitz. If you encounter d4 e5 dxe5 nc6 nf3 d6 play Bg5! (instead of Bf4) it takes away all the sting now Be7 is only reasonable move and after Bxe7 Qxe7 exd6 black has nothing. Still it's a good opening for black in blitz because most people just won't play Bg5 and then you get to have lots of fun :)

Myself, i just play sicilian against 1.e4, king's indian or grunfeld against 1.d4. The king's indian ATTACK doesn't scare me, reti systems are deep and positional so as black you musn't "rush in to attack" Be prepared against moves like 1.d4 Nf6 2. Bg5!?(trompovsky) and gambits like 1.d4 Nf6 2. g4!? (The devin gambit). 1. e3?! f5!! followed by 2 . .Nf6! and the "van't kruis" opening is busted as 1. e3 fits in badly against the dutch. And just play STRONG computers in blitz as white/black etc!!
