With the Red Sox home opener on Tuesday, fans are breaking out into that old favorite, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."
The Tin Pan Alley song is 100 years old this year and the enthusiasm for singing it is forever young. The song is traditionally sung during the seventh inning stretch and fans are encouraged to join in.
The Patriot Ledger asked a few South Shore residents to give us their rendition -- from a local watering hole, The Fours, in Quincy to the sedate setting of a senior's home in Hingham.
