Packer's luxe trip across the city quickly becomes dizzyingly hellish as he encounters explosive city riots, aparade of provocative visitors, and is thrust into a myriad of intimate encounters. Having started the day with everything, believing he is the future, Packer's perfectly ordered, doubt-free world is about to implode.

Because It's a film that you have to use your brain, many people lack doing that and I'm surprised they're living. Its simple, its the kind of movie you like it or not but it doesn't mean its crap. I saw it and yep its one you have to watch a few times and figure it out yourself. I didn't read the book but I figured it out after watching it. Its very interesting once people THINK about it. Also its an independent film, different than hollywood (hollywood only wants to make a box office hit)

That's right. The film is brilliant and shot with the skill I have not seen in years. Kudos to Cronenberg and Suschitzky for that. Pattinson's performance is wonderful and evolving in accordance with the events in the movie, last scene being a masterpiece of acting between him and Giamatti.People walk out because the don't have the stamina or brains to process the content of Cosmopolis or they went there to see sex, and it was made clear from the start that C is so much more than that.
