Senator Albert Kookesh speaks to the Alaska Native Brotherhood Alaska Native Sisterhood Grand Camp Convention on Subsistence and our need to sue the Federal Government to enforce our rights being taken by the State of Alaska.
It is a conflict of interest for Mr. Kookesh to be involved in the Sealaska land transfer attempt when he is a board member of Sealaska. The proof of his involvement was his "veiled threat" to the City of Craig, to impede their receiving of state funds if they came out publicly as being against the land transfer. This is how mobsters operate, that is not how a PUBLIC SERVANT should act. To regain his honor he should either resign from office or sever all connections he has to Sealaska!!!
refer to the "This is Angoon" video and tell me how native it looks to you. LOL
They call his hometown the projects. The fact is he was fishing in an area that was closed to fishing due to extremely low runs. He knew that and still did it. What does that say? Not to mention that a state senator is advocating moving away from the state, then I suggest you leave your job too because you shouldn't be working for the ones you're trying to get away from.
Angoon rules! Kookesh rules. You should listen to this man. He protecting YOUR rights.
