  • The church of the machine puzzle remains to this day even many years after playing it, one of my all time favorite puzzles in any game, period. The sound effects and music tracks that come in as you clear each chip picture enhance the experience quite a bit.

    Self modifying code FTW!

  • Even though he never talks, Bismuth is such a badass robot.

  • Hands down the best portion of this game, such that I remember it almost fifteen years later. Dolby's music for this puzzle upon its solution, in all its climactic glory, is superlative.

  • If you are indicating the Spider, what do you mean by "Abraxas"? There's multiple meanings of it on Wikipedia so I can't pin it down.

  • As for the "Robot Angels" in the Church, I would've liked them better if they had more detail. and faces.

  • @Pythagoras64 I'm planning to make my own game where an upgraded model of him DOES talk, only with a happy-go-lucky British accent. He also wears clothing, too, and the name would be "Bizmuth".

  • sweet! Thanks for posting this!

  • @robbogucki

Yes! This whole level is excellent, but this puzzle is brilliant!!

  • The best designed puzzle ever, damn this brought memories... Whole game was incredible but this and the 'non-regulation destination' puzzle bit later on are pure evil genius. Thanks so much for posting this!

  • i pulled all my hair trying to figure out the programming puzzle. even today as a fairly proficient programmer i would still be unable to figure it out :P
