Kyle starts off with the subject of change and how the pretty severe economic changes across the globe, across the globe, across the country and here in Newport have resulted in increasing hunger, homelessness and unemployment. He applauds the number of people at the workshop who are engaged in this process but he sees Queen Anne Square as a nice park as is, and that in this case he feels it's timely - given the number of people who are suffering - the community comes together to focus on the more important priorities: homelessness, hunger, food security. He also feels the Council arre in a difficult position so this should be opened up to wider dialogue so there are alternatives for this community. He worries a dangerous precedent is being set.
