  • My hair was texturized a few years. I've been natural for a year now and my hair is curly and wavy at the roots but straighter further down. When I wash my hair I don't have curly ringlets anymore I have waves. Do I have to do big chop? I wash my hair every other week and deep condition every week is that too much? I want my hair to grow long (I have quick growing hair) but it never grows past my bra strap, any quick easy tips. Thank you :)

  • @reecespiecesbeauty No, you don't wash and deep condition it too much. You have waves at the end of your hair because of the texturizer that is left. The hair at your roots is your natural texture while the hair further down has been altered by the texturizer. The chemical from the texturizer has loosened your natural coils and curls. You don't have to do a big chop. You can trim an inch or so every month or every other month until you get rid of it all.

  • What conditioners or moisturizing products would you recommend that actually hold retention? I'm currently transitioning and plan to do the big chop on March 1. My hair seems to be very, very dry. I use heat once per week after washing and deep conditioning as I feel I can keep it more conditioned with the straigter style. Thanks in advance for you advice.

  • @Tanne3363 Try not to flat iron your hair as much. This could be the reason why your hair is so dry. You don't want to damage your curls before you become fully natural. Try wearing curly styles sometimes. Any water-based leave-in conditioner is great. Just make sure no harmful ingredients are in them. Sticking to natural leave-ins is a little easier. And make sure you are sealing your hair after you moisturize it. This is an important step when locking in the moisture.

  • Soo I watch your videos a lot and i sometimes tell my mom to watch them with me cause your hair is soo beautiful =). Anywho my mom has always been saying that your not all black and that your mixed with something. I always askd her why do u believe that black people cannot grow their hair that long and keep it looking so good. I just wanted to ask "are u mixed"?

  • @msKahain26 No, both of my parents are Black.

  • @favoredjah Vegetable glycerin and water mix is a great moisturizer. Spray on your hair after washing it. Also, deep condition your hair often. It helps to restore moisture into your hair and gets rid of that dry feeling.

  • @Offended83Shadow No, I didn't get this length after 2 1/2 years. I've been growing my hair for 5 years and 4 months. It started to "look" or be considered long at about 3 1/2 years and its gotten longer and longer every year.

  • How long have you been natural?

  • Tutorials Pleaaassseee!

  • i love your hair....... and people think blacks cant have naturally long hair....... smh...... thumbs up........

  • i have a hair crush on you! haha i envy the thickness of your hair ugh so beautiful

  • Hi, I must say that I have really been inspired by your videos. I haven't had a relaxer in 7mos and I am trying to go natural. I do have the support from my mother and sister but my close friends are always negative. My hair is not long and I am trying to do this without doing the BC I just need some tips, advice and styling tips. I am so trying not to give in to the creamy crack but with my hair texture being extremely THICK it is so hard for me to hold off.
