Neil Peart performed a very cool drum solo during Rush's 2004 tour. This is an excerpt of the drum solo he played in NYC on 2004/08/18. This is the part where he plays the drums crossing his arms, it is really impressive.

  • @MrHeitz17 most likely a lot. i hate it when i do that. it hurts like heck

  • This is called a double-hand crossover.

  • I wonder how many times he's hit his fingers doing that...

  • @Trigger584 Whats awesome is that its a combination of single and double crossovers, so its really interesting to see him using the two together, and just be seamless. For that particular move its all about sticking :)

  • Robot Polarbearnopenguin. Please keep quiet. It's Neil Peart. Period. Your name is robot. Sorry haven't heard of you.

  • Easy is for sissies!

  • Robot

  • ive been doing these crossover for many years...I learned them from my early drum instructor who played quads in a marching ban...its a great trick..and he is doing double crossovers..I do them so much it seems to be my main fill now ..on the cymbals as well to end songs! Great drumming here by Neil (as usual)

  • @Trigger584 probobly because hes been drumming his entire life.

  • 17 seconds of my life spent
