http://www.viloria.com - If you're in the Philippines and would like to pay for the bill or "chit" in a Philippine restaurant, you can make use of hand signals to let the waiter know.

Form a small rectangle with your fingers if you wish to pay for the bill, or a large rectangle if you need to see the menu.

  • LOL I can't stop laughing what is that?

  • lol my grandma does that too or for a to go box she does it over her plate. my sister once got an e-mail that was like 10 signs your Filipino and this was one of them that and your pantry if stocked with spam and vienna sausages, those are the only two i remember

  • hmm. Now that I think of it, I do this subconsciously in any restaurant. I think they know what it means because a square represents either a bill or a to go box.

  • hahaha, totoo yan.

  • my mom does that even though we live here in the US. I'm like mom how the hell are they supposed to know what that means? >_>

  • haha...I guess it's because we don't want to have the waiter waste time by going to the table, then going back to the counter to actually get the bill..signalling from afar saves time, and it works too :)

  • rofl my mom does that

  • ahahahha, thats funny!!! but i do that too here in the states. this is classic... funny!!!

  • hahahahha lol hell yea

  • love that.. :D
