  • @askarsfan2011 And you asked me if I wouldn't mind a man like that in my bedroom!

Well, mind, god NO, I would love it! That's my fantasy you see and True Blood gave me a sexy view into that.

I think I will play that game, if he is good and I don't laugh!

Why should I believe Eric would harm her, he loves her? Why should she, he has just told her he loved her in the 'I never gave up on you' scene!

But this is here the picture breaks because they are in two different worlds or Are they playing!?

  • @askarsfan2011 So when someone like you, who loves Sookie, tries to relate and believe in her life as 'real' for her, it just falls apart, because of her archetype! Eric does not function as a match for Sookie, she is not beyond the 'romantic' level, but Eric was never really there, he's almost out here with those of us that have a more grown experienced desire! That is fantasy too, but not so romantic! The show is an outlet for our day to day life, it's not a documentary! But we can play it ;)

  • @askarsfan2011 Eric made the jump from script to screen better she did, I don't know if the writers are all to blame, maybe they just couldn't anticipate how that character would look/work on screen, I believe Sookie is caught in a 'mirror', that reflects something we use to love and can't any more, as real women today, only if we are very young, very romantic og at least very aware of the romantic angle she works in! Eric is just someone that works, even/or especially for smart grown women!

  • @askarsfan2011 Erics not real ... hmn! You think Sookie is? I don't know what channels Sabrina and Charmed were/are on (over there, in Bon Temps ;), but in season 4 Sookie says that she grew up whatching them, she like this universe to the core! So if it woudn't be to wierd, even for me, I pretty much believe, actually, that she Would see True Blood, herself and love, love, love Eric like the rest of us, might even have done her some good, seeing herself from another perspective you know!

  • @ASaTrueVirgoVision No, the moral is that Sookie is a person, and Eric is a person. Being a vampire doesn't give Eric the right to treat Sookie like property. I understand that Eric's behavior looks masterful & sexy, but to us Eric is a fictional character. To Sookie, Eric is a person behaving like a jerk, not a sexual fantasy out of a romance novel. Sookie isn't watching HBO. This is her real life, & she doesn't want to be owned. That's why she gets mad at Eric.

  • Sookie has got to learn to OWN herself or else others will do that 'job' for her, Own her! Eric want to Own her, but most of all I just think he is offering to protect her through that 'Ownership' until/if ever she can do it herself! He wont take advantage, but he is showing her a lot of her weaknesses if not!

Or that is what I think at least and it just seem to work perfectly in my head ;)

  • Eric needs Sookie not to act 'normal' because it's going to get her killed! And if she does not learn to understand him fast, there is no chance she going to understand anyone else! She might expect and want to treat and be treated as human, but that's just impossible! Now most 'supes' aren't completely inhuman, the human part is there to a degree, but they are something else foremost! And so is Sookie, it's just so new to her! But now she has to run fast in the experience/cognitions department!

  • @askarsfan2011 Sookie is a fool, she isn't even enterely human herself and she is in the misty mid of 'supes', alternative realities and even alternative fantasies! Even thoug she wants to be all honky dory, Eric is demonstrating that even he won't play naiv with her, he is acting like the real thing, like the vampire he is, and he is later asking her to let her real being, fairy Sookie, speek for her, to embrace her own 'supe' side!

The moral is that she isn't 'just' human nor is he!

  • And Eric must have been thinking of ME 'swoshing' around being the epitome of SEXY, because it would have 'taught' me a lot and turned me on like crazy, and it did, lucky me! But although he reads Sookie well, I guess even he couldn't have underestimated her enough! Plus it is just so funny to, men don't talk like that, unfortunatly, the are talking about bad exes that didn't understand them, twisted childhoods, bad bosses or employees and forget that we really don't like them naked in socks!

  • @askarsfan2011 Eric knows about the 'you are mine' issue, he's expressing his intentions, but later he IS asking her, it's up to her to decide! He could be all 'Dr. Phil' with her, but he's not her psychologist, nor should he be, I think if Eric began to explain things she might not understand anyway, and even if she did, the point of relating to stuff without instructions would fly out the window! He doesn't want to be her dad, but her partner, he needs her to be independant and not to panic!
