IT SOUNDS LIKE A BRITISH GIRL GROUP TO ME. IT'S GOT THAT BRITISH FEEL AND THE WAY THE SINGER PRONOUNCES CAN'T SUGGESTS IT'S BRITISH. I DON'T KNOW WHY I UPLOADED THIS ONE. IT'S GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT I'VE GOT. IT'S PROBABLY THAT NORTHERN SOUL A CATEGORY THAT I JUST DON'T GET. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW THE CRITERIA FOR NORTHERN SOUL, THAT OTHERS SEEM TO LABEL AS SUCH.
Thanks for posting this, sunshine....This was the first song I wrote and recorded, with The JetSet, for EMI.....I've lost my copy, even, so great! Don't sound too bad ;)

A really great tune that should be released on a compilation of rare British pop and beat on CD. I am an avid fan or rare British pop and beat, John Carney from Tucson, Arizona.

You are right that this originates from Britain. This song is from 1964, they also recorded as Liza and The Jet Set (featuring Liza Strike) and cut 4 singles for Parlophone between 1965-67 as The Soulmates.
Can't enlighten you on Northern Soul unfortunately, It's a mystery to me to,even though I appear to have posted some as well.
