My grandpa made a crystal radio set for me using an oatmeal box wrapped with wire as the tuner when I was around ten years old. I was so fascinated by the knowledge he had to make that radio with ordinairy things he found around my house -- and was amazed how it didn't need a battery. I went to sleep every night for a while with the earplug in my ear to sleep to the music. Thanks for the memories again, Jim! No need to respond.

Jim- One U.S. network just did a story on the boat that was sunk, a few months ago. They interviewed a woman who survived by hanging on to some debris with a friend of hers. It wasn't until she got to the rescue ship that she found her brother, who she'd thought was lost, had also survived. Very frightening experience; so glad you never made onto that boat! I don't think it right to compare Geriatric1927 and jimsan1... they both are different ppl, they both have their own advantages...
I'm not so sure if "advantages" is the right word,cant think of any other. I was Studying for my chemistry trials tomorrow n watchin this at the same time...

HA! I enjoyed the "Dentist" comment. My 9yr old daughter insists on being put to sleep even for her teeth cleaning coming up HA! She's scared to death all the time LOL!
